Meet the Afterimages 2016 Directing Team

Welcome to the 2016 Afterimages Season!
To kick off our first blog post, we thought it would be great to familiarize you with the wonderful Directing Team.

Meet Sydney Enzler-

Sydney has been dancing in Afterimages since 2013, and is completing her second year of being a part of the Directing Team. Sydney wanted to become a member to be involved in the marketing aspect of Afterimages. She is interested in growing the awareness of this wonderful student produced, choreographed, and designed performance. She thinks Afterimages is a great opportunity to create, collaborate, and explore the many elements of dance. Her favorite part about Afterimages is being able to work with her peers. This is her first year choreographing a piece for Afterimages and she wants to thank her amazing cast for being a part of the journey!

Meet Ivy Boudreau-

Ivy is a Dance Major and Arts Management Minor. This is also Ivy's second year on the Directing Team and she has danced in previously in Afterimages 2015, as well as Afterimages Unplugged 2013, 2014, and 2015. Ivy wanted to become a member of the Directing team to be involved in the integral part of work that goes into planning and producing the Afterimages season. Ivy believes it is a wonderful opportunity to help new thoughts and ideas become a reality, as well as a way to practice skills and knowledge she has learned in her Arts Management classes, and it helps create an inspiring and fun Afterimages season for her fellow dancers. Ivy's favorite part about Afterimages is seeing her fellow classmate's pieces and discovering the unique concepts and movement they've been working on.

Meet Anna Kurzynski -

Anna is in her third year in the UWSP Dance Program, and this marks her 1st Year on the Afterimages Directing Team. She performed in Afterimages 2015, and choreographed a work featured in Arts Bash 2016. Anna wanted to become a member of the directing team to really get first-hand experience of what it is like to produce a full dance concert. She also loves the artistic process and growth that Afterimages provides for students involved, and wants to keep promoting the new work of her peers to the campus and community.  Anna's favorite part of Afterimages is seeing all the new work that everyone creates, and also the artistic growth of both the dancers and choreographers throughout the whole Afterimages experience. This production is one of Anna's favorite aspects of the UWSP Dance Program, and would love to thank her peers for all the lovely inspiration they provide!

Meet Sarah Fenander-

Sarah is in her third year in the UWSP Dance Program, and this is her 1st year on the Afterimages Directing Team. She has performed in Afterimages 2014, as well as Afterimages 2015, and is choreographing her first piece this season. Sarah wanted to become a member of the Directing Team to better immerse herself in the production process to see the "behind the scenes" aspects that happen during the process of putting up a show. She loves watching the artistic growth not only from the cast members of the show, but from the other members and crew of the production, as well. She is very excited to share the work she and her peers have been in the process of creating!
